Short answer

An e-code is the code from an email, an app or a receipt: paste it, with the PIN if your card has one. A physical card is sold by photo: the front and the back, with the code scratched free and readable. Both are checked the same way and paid at the rate shown when you submit.

Which format is my card?

E-codeYou got the code by email, in an app, or printed on a receipt from the shop.
Physical cardYou hold a plastic or paper card with a scratch-off strip on the back.

Some cards pay a different rate as an e-code than as a physical card. The sell form shows the rate for the format you pick, before you submit.

Selling an e-code

  1. 1Pick the cardBrand, country and value, then choose e-code.
  2. 2Paste the codeOne code per line if you sell several of the same card. Add the PIN if your card has one.
  3. 3SubmitThe form checks the format and look-alike characters as you type. The rate is locked when you submit.

When we ask for a receipt

Steam, Ubisoft and Rockstar game keys always need a screenshot of the purchase receipt. For gift cards we may ask for the receipt above certain amounts or when something looks unusual, as our AML & KYC policy explains. Keep receipts until the order is done.

Questions

Does a physical card pay less?

Not necessarily. Where e-codes and physical cards pay differently, the sell form shows the rate for each format before you submit.

The scratch strip tore part of the code. Can I still sell it?

Only if every character is still readable. If it isn't, the issuer can't redeem the card and it will be rejected.

How many cards can I sell at once?

As many as fit your daily limit. New accounts can sell up to $250 a day, and the limit grows with every card that clears.

Who sees my photos?

Only the staff who process orders. Photos and codes are deleted 30 days after the order is done.
